1. Definition

Polyaluminum chloride (PAC) is an inorganic substance, an emerging water purification material, an inorganic polymer coagulant, referred to as polyaluminum. It is a water-soluble inorganic polymer between AlCl3 and Al(OH)3, with a general chemical formula of [Al2(OH)nCl6-n]m, where m represents the degree of polymerization and n represents the neutrality of the PAC product.

3.Usage and dosage of polyaluminium chloride

The function of PAC polyaluminium chloride is to separate fine suspended particles and colloidal ions in water through adsorption and electrical neutralization, adsorption bridging, compression of double electric layer, sediment netting, etc., and aggregate, flocculate, coagulate, and precipitate to achieve purification treatment effect. However, in order to achieve high efficiency using polyaluminium chloride, it is necessary to have the correct usage method and use process

1. Dilution and use method of polyaluminium chloride:

1. In order to achieve the best flocculation effect and economic benefits, users need to determine the best dosage per thousand tons of water through experiments according to different source water turbidity, different seasons and different reaction conditions;

2. When using, prepare a 3%-5% aqueous solution (calculated by the weight of the product): After the solid product is dissolved in water at a ratio of 1:3 to become a liquid, add 10-30 times of clean water to dilute it to the required concentration before use.
3. The dosage can be determined according to the different turbidity of the raw water. Generally, when the turbidity of the raw water is 100-500 mg/L, the dosage per thousand tons is 10-20 kg; when the turbidity of the raw water is high, the dosage should be appropriately increased, and when the turbidity is low, the dosage can be appropriately reduced.

4. Precautions for using polyaluminium chloride:
1. When using, a small test should be conducted according to the water quality to select the best point with good water purification effect and small dosage.
2. The solution should be used as soon as it is prepared, and the dosage of non-drinking water should be selected according to the actual situation.
3. When using solids, first add water to dissolve and prepare a 10-25% solution, and then dilute with water to the required concentration. When dissolving, add water first and slowly add the material, and stir continuously.
4. Water treatment agents from different manufacturers or different brands cannot be mixed, and must not be mixed with other chemicals.
5. Polyaluminium chloride can be used at low temperatures, with a suitable pH value of 5-9. No alkali is needed after addition, the flocculation effect is good, and less mud is produced.
6. The effective dosage of polyaluminium chloride products is 20-50mgL. Liquid products can be directly metered and added, and solid products must first be prepared into a 10%-15% solution in the dissolution tank, and then metered and added according to the required concentration.
7. When using polyaluminium chloride, there will be uneven mixing problems. You can add it after dilution.
8. Polyaluminium chloride can be used in combination with weak cationic polyacrylamide. When used in combination with aluminium sulfate or ferric chloride, it can be used for sludge preparation.
9. The effective storage period of polyaluminium chloride: half a year for liquid and two years for solid.

5.Advantages of polyaluminium chloride of Zhifan Chemical
1. The product ingredients are high-quality, the flocs are formed quickly, the activity is good, the filterability is good, and it can effectively remove the pollution of heavy metals and radioactive substances to water.
2. No alkaline additives are needed, the flocs are formed quickly and coarsely, the activity is high, the precipitation is fast, and the effect remains unchanged in case of deliquescence.
3. It has a wide range of pH values, strong adaptability, and a wide range of uses. It can effectively remove SS, COD, BOD, and heavy metal ions such as arsenic and mercury in water.
4. The treated water has less salt, low water insoluble matter, fast dissolution rate, and obvious purification effect on high turbidity water.
5. The effective ingredients are high, easy to dissolve at low temperature, fast heating decomposition, low corrosiveness, simple use, and easy to store and transport.
6. It has national standard brand qualifications for nearly 30 years, advanced production technology, low price for large-scale supply, and provides water treatment system solutions to help users with science and technology and environmental protection and obtain better use benefits.
