MAIN USES
Used as a paper sizing agent in the papermaking industry to enhance the water resistance and anti-seepage performance of paper;
After being dissolved in water, it can cause small particles and natural gel particles in the water to condense into large flocs, which can be removed from the water. Therefore, it is used as a coagulant for water supply and wastewater;
Used as a purifying agent for turbid water, as well as a precipitant, fixative, filler, etc. Used as an anti sweat cosmetic ingredient (astringent) in cosmetics;
In the fire protection industry, foam extinguishing agent is composed of baking soda and foaming agent;
Analytical reagents, mordants, tanning agents, oil decolorizing agents, wood preservatives;
Stabilizers for albumin pasteurization (including liquid or frozen whole eggs, protein or egg yolks);
Can be used as raw materials for manufacturing artificial gemstones, high-grade ammonium alum, and other aluminates;
In the fuel industry, it serves as a precipitant in the production of chrome yellow and lake dyes, while also serving as a fixing and filling agent.
Used as an effective crosslinking agent for animal glue and can improve its viscosity. It is also used as a curing agent for urea formaldehyde adhesives, and the curing speed of 20% aqueous solution is faster
NOTE
Explosive hazard: This product is non flammable and has irritant properties.
Health hazards: It has a certain irritant effect on the eyes and mucous membranes. Accidentally taking a large amount of aluminum sulfate can cause irritation to the mouth and stomach.
Toxicological data: Oral LC50 in mice: 6207mg/kg.
Ecological data: Generally, it is slightly harmful to water bodies. Do not expose undiluted or large amounts of products to groundwater, waterways, or sewage systems. Do not discharge materials into the surrounding environment without government permission.
Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing and rinse with running water.
Eye contact: Lift the eyelids and rinse with flowing water or physiological saline. Seek medical attention.
Inhalation: Remove from the scene to a place with fresh air. If breathing is difficult, administer oxygen. Seek medical attention.
Ingestion: Drink plenty of warm water to induce vomiting. Seek medical attention.
Hazardous characteristics: There are no special combustion and explosion characteristics. Toxic sulfide smoke is generated due to high thermal decomposition.
Harmful combustion products: Natural decomposition products are unknown.
Fire extinguishing method: Firefighters must wear full body fire and gas resistant clothing and extinguish the fire upwind. When extinguishing a fire, try to move the container from the fire to an open area as much as possible.
Emergency response: Isolate the contaminated area and restrict entry and exit. It is recommended that emergency personnel wear dust masks (full face masks) and gas protective clothing. Collect with a clean shovel in a dry, clean, and covered container and transfer to a safe place. If there is a large amount of leakage, collect and recycle it or transport it to a waste disposal site for disposal.
Operation precautions: Closed operation, local ventilation. Operators must undergo specialized training and strictly adhere to operating procedures. It is recommended that operators wear self-priming filter dust masks, chemical safety goggles, work clothes to prevent toxin penetration, and rubber gloves. Avoid generating dust. Avoid contact with oxidants. Light loading and unloading during transportation to prevent packaging damage. Equipped with leakage emergency response equipment. Empty containers may have residual harmful substances.
Storage precautions: Store in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Stay away from sparks and heat sources. It should be stored separately from oxidants and avoid mixing. The storage area should be equipped with appropriate materials to contain leaked materials.
Storage and transportation: The packaging should be complete during transportation and the loading should be secure. During transportation, it is necessary to ensure that the container does not leak, collapse, fall, or be damaged. It is strictly prohibited to mix and transport with oxidants, edible chemicals, etc. During transportation, it is necessary to prevent exposure to sunlight, rain, and high temperatures. The vehicle should be thoroughly cleaned after transportation.
