Ammonium bicarbonate
Ammonium bicarbonate is a white compound with the chemical formula NH4HCO3. It is in the form of granular, plate-like or columnar crystals and has an ammonia smell. Ammonium bicarbonate is a carbonate, so it must not be placed together with acid, because acid will react with ammonium bicarbonate to produce carbon dioxide, causing the ammonium bicarbonate to deteriorate. However, rural areas also take advantage of the property of ammonium bicarbonate to react with acid. Ammonium bicarbonate is placed in a vegetable greenhouse, the greenhouse is sealed, and the ammonium bicarbonate is placed at a high place, and dilute hydrochloric acid is added. At this time, ammonium bicarbonate will react with hydrochloric acid to produce ammonium chloride, water and carbon dioxide.
