Thiourea Dioxide
This product is an important intermediate of nitrogen compounds in organic and inorganic chemical industry. It originated from the fiber industry and has been used since the early days. Thiourea dioxide is an inorganic compound with strong reducing properties, good thermal stability, and convenient storage and transportation. Its uses are very wide, including but not limited to the following aspects:
Printing and dyeing industry: used as reducing agent, such as bleaching reducing agent for cotton, wool and chemical fiber and reducing agent for sulfur dyes, printing of disperse dyes, stripping of textiles, reprocessing or removing floating colors, etc.
Paper industry: used for pulp bleaching, deinking of waste paper, etc.
Photography industry: As an emulsifying agent, it can make the exposed part of photographic paper show high stability.

Store in a dry, clean, well-ventilated warehouse with a room temperature below 30°C. Keep away from fire, heat and direct sunlight. Pay attention to moisture and rain. Because thiourea dioxide is a reducing agent, avoid contact with oxidants such as chlorine-based bleach, percarbonate soda, perborate soda, persulfate and other substances. If it is mixed with water, the reaction will be accelerated.
Once thiourea dioxide is taken out of the bag or leaks out, it cannot be put back into the original bag. Because it is contaminated by stolen goods, rust, moisture and other pollutants, which accelerates its decomposition. Dissolve the leaked materials with a large amount of water and throw them away.
Please wear rubber gloves and masks when contacting thiourea dioxide. Although it is not toxic to the body, it is easy to cause eczema in a few people with allergic constitutions. After contact, make sure to wash the exposed skin thoroughly with water.
When handling or storing thiourea dioxide products or aqueous solutions, plastic utensils are most suitable. Stainless steel, porcelain, and glass utensils can also be used. When the aqueous solution is left, thiourea dioxide will slowly decompose to produce sulfuric acid, and the pH value will decrease. Please be careful to avoid using iron, copper, and aluminum containers.
