Physical and chemical properties: White particles. Relative density 0.8-1.0, melting point 40-46℃. Easily soluble in water and dilute alkali solution; insoluble in alcohol and acid. The aqueous solution is alkaline. It is easy to absorb moisture and deliquesce when exposed to air. It has the ability of cleaning, emulsification, dispersion, wetting, permeability and pH buffering. Concentrated solution is corrosive to fabrics and skin.
